How is FERAPRO™ Different from Other Iron Supplements?
FERAPRO ®, originally formulated by compounding pharmacist Bob Mehr in 1997 and formerly known as BOB’S IRON FORMULA, is a holistic blend of iron, vitamins, and cofactors to prevent and/or treat iron deficiency anemia. The absorption and tolerability of the iron in this blend is enhanced by vitamin C and glycine, while the active forms of vitamin B12 (Methylcobalamin) and folate (5-MTHF) support the growth and function of healthy red blood cells.
Unlike other iron supplement products on the market, which generally have a long list of fillers, binders, and coloring agents, FERAPRO® has only one non-medicinal ingredient which plays a crucial role in the delivery of the active ingredients.
FERAPRO® upholds a standard of being clean and sustainable and it is available in 3 strengths for individualized dosing.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
FERAPRO™, a holistic and proprietary blend of iron, vitamins, and cofactors, was designed to optimize oral iron replacement therapy, with every ingredient serving a specific purpose to improve patient outcomes.
IRON FROM FERROUS FUMARATE
Provides ferrous (Fe2+) iron, which is more bioavailable than ferric (Fe3+) iron found in polysaccharide iron supplements.
VITAMIN C AS ASCORBIC ACID
The enzyme ascorbate ferrireductase (DcytB) uses Vitamin C to enhance non-heme iron bioavailability by 1.5 to 10-fold.
FOLATE AS 5-MTHF
5-MTHF, the active form of folic acid, is required for proper development of red blood cells (i.e. erythropoiesis).
Glycine is an amino acid that forms a chelated complex with iron, increasing its tolerability without hindering absorption.
VITAMIN B12 AS METHYLCOBALAMIN
Methylcobalamin, the active form of vitamin B12, is required for proper development of red blood cells (i.e. erythropoiesis). Methylcobalamin is used in the metabolic pathway for DNA synthesis, which is essential for the final maturation of the red blood cells.
See what our customers have to say!
“I have been taking Bob’s Iron for 6 months. In the first three months, my iron levels rose from 12 to 17. In the second three months, they rose from 20 to 27. My doctor wants me to keep taking it until my levels are in the 30’s. I get absolutely no gastric problems from Bob’s Iron. I have tried all kinds of iron supplements and stopped taking them because of severe constipation and stomach pains. But Bob’s Iron causes me absolutely no problems. I think this is a great product!”
I cannot believe I have no side effects!!! No gnawing abdominal pain or nausea! Please do more advertising so people will know how amazing your product Bob’s Iron is. I even called my doctor after the first week to tell him how well my body is tolerating it. I love that it doesn’t cause constipation like other iron pills do. Thank you for making this life changing product.
