Dr. Anita Tannis

Dr. Tannis brings nearly 30 years of experience to her successful Integrative and Functional Medicine based practice in West Vancouver. She is Board Certified in Holistic and Integrative Medicine in the US, certified in Medical Acupuncture, a Clinical Associate Professor at UBC, and has taught internationally to both physicians and the public. She is passionate about the intersection of Mind, Body and Spirit in health and healing, and cares deeply for both the Art and the Science of Medicine.

Dr. Lawrence Cheng

CONNECT HEALTH CARE CENTRE

Dr. Cheng is the co-founder/director of Connect Health. He is trained in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine and has a Masters in Public Health from Harvard University. Dr. Cheng uses an integrative and functional medicine approach to treat chronic diseases; to him, health is our most valuable asset and is defined by vitality, not merely the absence of disease. He believes in the innate capacity for the body to heal and the importance of integrating mind, body and spirit.

Dr. Bryn Hyndman

Bryn Hyndman is a respected family physician and naturopath who has extensive knowledge on women’s health and wellness. In addition to her busy practise she is the mother of endlessly active twin boys. Dr. Hyndman serves on the board of Together We Can as she is a strong supporter of community and quality of life.

Dr. Ashley Riskin

CONNECT HEALTH CARE CENTRE

Dr. Riskin is the co-founder/director of Connect Health. He completed his Bachelor of Sciences, Medical Doctorate and Family Medicine Residency at UBC as well as a fellowship in Integrative Medicine from the University of Arizona. Dr. Riskin has a keen interest in personalized medicine and aims to follow a ‘root cause resolution’ approach. He is passionate about genetics and molecular medicine, the microbiome, healthy aging, mind-body medicine and empowering his patients to increase their resilience and lead happy, productive lives.
